The Undergraduate Research Symposium with titles of selected papers

Four Popular Lectures on Einstein and his Annus Mirabilis of 1905. Speakers are John Rigden, Roger Stuewer, Michel Janssen, and Kameshwar Wali. Teaching Workshop: In an afternoon session, several speakers will talk about new developments in teaching introductory physics and upper-level AMO courses. A morning session will be for former participants in the New Physics and Astronomy Faculty Workshops sponsored by APS and AAPT last year. The purpose of this workshop is to acquaint students with hot topics in modern laser technology. It also intends to provide participants with some tools to understand and explore laser phenomena as widely ranging as attosecond pulses and slowing of light in a unified approach. The target audience comprises undergraduate students, graduate students, and post-docs. Limited financial support is available to enable students to attend.
